Commander
James Croyd
Official records on the Commander's past are quite elusive. The
official
records state that he was born on Corellia, one of the most famed
worlds
due to their enormous shipyards. Of his parents little, is known
except
that they worked for the Corellian Engineering Corporation.
He joined the Imperial Navy at the age of eighteen (he is now 39
years
old). At that stage, the Empire was about to fall, although he
did not
know this. His reasons for joining was that he wanted to get away
from
Corellia at all costs, he stated that he did not want to end up
some
poor worker in the shipyards.
In the Academy, he excelled at the physical parts of the
curriculum.
However, although he was competent at the other parts of the
officers
training, he was never inspired. Even so, he was competent enough
to
graduate in the top five hundred cadets and so was given a
commission as
a ensign aboard the ISD Skull.
During his service before the fall of the Empire, he proved
himself a
competent officer although not a inventive one. He got several
commendations for courage and performance above and beyond the
call of
duty. However it was also noted that although he was a good
second in
command, or a good intermediary officer, he was not top brass
material.
After the fall of the Empire, he was steadily promoted until he
became a
Lt-Commander. At this stage for some reason, Commodore Valberg
specifically requested that Croyd should be transferred to his
fleet and
he promoted him as well. After this, Croyd served with
distinction in
several engagements, proving himself to be honourable and
competent.

Subj: PRELIMINARY MEDICAL REPORT ON COMMANDER CROYD
PHYSICAL CONDITION:
Commander Croyd is in peak physical condition, but he
has consistently
refused a close medical examination for security purposes (in
fact it
would almost seem like he has dodged them). Strangely enough, the
medical
records of his past career are either non-existent, or have been
removed
by orders of then-Commodore Valberg.
