Their Holocaust Deniers -And Ours

Filed under: News, Politics and Religion — Jason Peppers @ 10:33 am

Iran’s President Ahmadinejad (or Ireallyneedajob, as I prefer to call him) is painted as a vile and twisted character for denying or seriously downplaying the Nazi Holocaust, and deservedly so. This is meant to be a sign that he and his country are the embodiment of evil, but he isn’t the only head of state to engage in “revisionism” of the Final Solution.

What’s particularly ironic is that Iran’s chief accuser and attacker, the United States, elected a man who was a fan of Holocaust “revisionism” twice -and once by a huge landslide.

Ronald Von Reagan

Back in 1985, Ronald Von Reagan visited a Nazi graveyard in Bitburg, Germany. Among the dead buried there were members of the SS. In spite of the fact that there were other graveyards that only had regular soldiers in the German Army interred within, in spite of the furor over the visit from Jews (including Holocaust survivors) and veterans before Von Reagan left for Germany, the trip was neither cancelled not altered except the late addition of a trip to Belsen.

Of course Von Reagan couldn’t stop there. After laying a wreath in the Nazi boneyard, he put the perpetrators of the Final Solution on the same moral level -and level of victimhood- as the men, women, children and infants murdered by the Nazis:

“They were victims, just as surely as the victims in the concentration camps”

This has to be the most wicked and demented sentence to ever exit the mouth of an American president, but to listen to the war whores, Holocaust “revisionism” is only bad when a towelhead does it.
